Are you really alive? After a major trial, a life threatening illness, or a near miss, life seems more valuable. It was with amazement that I sat there watching as Captain Sullenberger successfully landed a jet airplane in the Hudson River in busy New York. All 155 passengers survived. It’s known as “The Miracle on the Hudson.” A reporter asked one passenger what were his thoughts – wet, freezing cold, a little bit frazzled, but with excitement in his voice he said, “I was alive before, but now I’m really alive.”
I ask again, “Are you really alive?” Are you passionate about the life God has given you? Do you get up every morning with enthusiasm, pursuing your dreams? As a Christian, God doesn’t want you to just exist or endure. He wants you to be really alive! He has put seeds of greatness on your inside. There is something more for you to accomplish in your life.
Today, I urge you to get excited about what God is doing! Lift up your eyes of faith to Him. Keep hoping, keep believing, keep trusting and keep living, because God has a wonderful plan for your life!
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10, NIV)
Pray With Me
Thank You God for making me alive in Christ! Thank You for the near death experiences and major trials You have brought me through. It shows me how much You love me, and I can honestly declare that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, and He died for me. Now I can live the abundant life He promised me here on earth. God, help me stay focused on You this day, and live with the enthusiasm that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
