10 Days Of Prayer 2017: Day 1 ~ Enter Into His Gate With Praise!* 🙌🏽🙌🏽
🌹Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. ~ Psalms 100:4 NKJV
Growing up I noticed something whenever I’d visit with my grandparents in the village. Whenever someone was approaching our homestead, they’d start clapping 👏 and calling my grandfather’s Clan Name and Totem. I enquired as to why everyone did it this way? The answer went like this; Whenever you are passing by one’s homestead you respect them because it’s their turf, you also want to make them feel good and in charge in case you’ve come to ask for something, and it’s also a sign to say I come in peace.
*If human beings could do that for each other what more about God how do we approach Him? Does He not deserve our reverence, respect, honour, praise, and exaltation? Of course He does as a matter of fact the Bible says our God _inhabits_ our praise (Psalms 22:3). As a matter of fact in His Presence there are angels continually Praising Him. ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, who is and still is to come!(Rev 4:8) If Angelic beings who have never tasted sin can praise Him what more mere mortal like us!*
So many times I’ve been guilty of just coming to God in prayer with a list of requests and start firing them like a machine gun. The Sanctuary teaches us that we can’t just start firing without giving Praises.
📌 *Praise especially when you’re in a predicament confuses the enemy and yet it moves the hand of God.* You can ask Paul and Silas the Bible says midnight hour came and found them already praying and praising. To Praise God in the middle of a crisis not only propels God to act but is a witness to the whole world that God is powerful. The Jailer was saved as a result of Paul and Sila’s Praise Party in Prison. That is our ultimate praise. I know some of us may 💭think we’ll right now my life is in a mess, I have nothing to praise God for. Look again. The fact that you woke up this morning alive is reason enough for you to shout. Jesus died for us the undeserving. To love the unloveable. Come on that is a good reason to praise.
Oh no what do I need to praise Him for? I lost my loved one, or my marriage is bitter, my child is giving me trouble, my finances are not balancing. Hold a minute. *Our Praise to God is not just predicated only on what He has done but on who He is!* Ask the the three Hebrew boys. They said;
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” ~ Daniel 3:17-18 NKJV
*_The Gate:_* I am the *_gate;_* whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. ~ John 10:9 NIV
Jesus has his signature all over the sanctuary. As we pray we pray in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Without Him our Prayers will be in vain. He is our mediator, our high priest, our barrister if you please and without him we can do nothing. So If I were you I’d start praising him not only for what He has done but also for who He is. His excellent greatness. His attributes. Jehovah Rapha, Elohim……
🎶 Praise Him, Praise Him Jesus our Blessed Redeemer.
🔊 To God be the Glory Great Things He has done.
🙌🙌 *_Let everything that has breath Praise The Lord?- Psalms 150:6
